From the recording Anticipation

In cart Not available Out of stock

Anticipation is the first song I’m releasing from a project I’ve been building slowly since summer 2023. A lot of it came out of sitting with ideas for longer than I could hold on to and trying to find an artistic way to express them.

The song is about waiting, awareness, and the uneasy feeling of coming to realizations too late. Musically, I kept it restrained on purpose. I have a steady pulse and atmosphere carrying the vocals, but no big drop or release. I wanted the tension to exist all the way through the experience.

This track is meant to introduce my tone and emotional space from the larger project. I will be sharing it with visual content and continuing to release music that expands on the same themes over time.

Lyrics

It’s the anticipation that I can’t take.
Can we move on and accept our fate?
Been waiting our whole lives just for this,
Imaginary feelings got us on a list.

Every opportunity that came and went,
Was a mistake or an accident.
It was already too late by the time
That we became sentient.

We’ve been waiting for something.
We can feel that it’s coming.
The vibrations are haunting…
On the brink of disaster,
We’re in the final chapter.
We may become echoes thereafter.

It’s the anticipation that I can’t take.
Can we move on and accept our fate?
Been waiting our whole lives just for this,
Imaginary feelings got us on a list.
Every opportunity that came and went,
Was a mistake or an accident.
It was already too late by the time
That we became sentient.

Don’t you hate anticipating?
Seems so pointless to be waiting.
I am not participating,
I’ll go on and let myself out now.

temptation, frustration.
Don't understand our hesitation.
The time for anticipations gone,
But I’ll still sit and wait…
For you.

It’s the anticipation that I can’t take.
Can we move on and accept our fate?
Been waiting our whole lives just for this,
Imaginary feelings got us on a list.
Every opportunity that came and went,
Was a mistake or an accident.
It was already too late by the time
That we became sentient.
